Fukumaru was a white Japanese Bobtail cat from rural Japan. He rose to internet fame alongside his elderly owner. His name blends the Japanese wordsfuku (fortune) andmaru (circle), symbolizing a wish for good luck and the hope for life’s outcomes to be smooth and harmonious.
